My name is Morten Knudsen and I am based in Kolding, Denmark.
I have been in the IT-industry since 1991 working with Microsoft-technologies since 1994.
In the period 2003-2016, I started a Microsoft consultant company, MindZet, that won lots of Microsoft partner awards like Infrastructure Partner of the Year and Best Customer Satisfaction (for several years). During the expansion of MindZet, the company was changed into also delivering managed services.
In 2016, I sold the company and started as freelance consultant in March 2018. As part of the growth of MindZet, I have gained intensive experience with management and needed processes in a growing business with employees in 5 different locations including Hong Kong.
I would say that I’m a special consultant, as I – beside being on the edge of technology – also know about organization and processes. All 3 areas are important to grow a customer’s IT-maturity including increasing the security maturity. This require technology, processes and people to ”work together”.
As an example of this, I have also developed extra processes and tracks to support a Cloud Adoption Framework implementation.

I love to give feedback where we can do better and spend between 5-10 hours each weak having meetings with Microsoft product-teams from Israel, India and Seattle/USA.
It is important for me, that the feedback is with high quality with use-cases, issue-documentation, etc. “quality over quantity”.

Travel
I love to travel with my family and visit new places in the world to understand how life is there; how people live; try to taste what they eat; understand their challenges, etc.
Per November 2024, I have visited 59 countries (30%) in the world.

Action Family
Our vacations are often ‘action-related’ covering activities life diving including shark-diving, skiing, ziplining, river-rafting, balloons, safari, watch F1, luges, bike riding, etc.
Diving is like meditation for me
We love to dive and have taken tons of certifications.
Both my wife, Anne; 2 teens (Caroline & Magnus) and myself are PADI Master Scuba Divers – and I am also a PADI Master Scuba Diver.
